On Thursday 12 October, Andrew Kelly and Michael Allen of Small Batch Roasting Co. made the trip down the Princess Highway to Warrnambool with a mission in mind – expand our appreciation for specialty coffee in regional Victoria.

Their coffee is sourced from farms using sustainable practices. The resulting product is largely pesticide free and tastes better for it!
They know their coffee producers and pay them fairly. This is no mean feat as the usual import/export scenario for coffee is often a faceless financial transaction.
The team at Small Batch work hard to get the perfect brew from the beans they buy. Quality control happens daily at the roastery and we all benefit from their hard work.
It was insightful and delightful to host the Small Batch Roasting Co. specialty coffee presentation and cupping at Rough Diamond. Thanks go out to all the staff and customers that attended. Also, a big thanks to Shay Fraser for the pics.
